The from hills are more traditional and conservative than those who lives on Kathmandu.Nepal remains every family oriented society. in the far western hills, one women married to two brothers. most ruler nepali families are self sufficient in their food supply, raising all of it themselves and selling any excess in the nearest town where they will stock up on things like sugar, soap, cigarettes ,tea, salt, clothes, etc. money from trekking lodge has became the major source of income in many hill village. the hills are increasing becoming a cash oriented society.
Most remote community are remarkable self sufficient .milk product are converted to hard cheese and yak butter, which is used in tea , butter lamps and ever as hair conditioner.
The rhythms of village life are determined by the seasons and marked by festivals, with the new year , harvest and monastic festivals the most important , in summer time fun and games as archery and horse racing .Dashain and Tihar remains the biggest event of the year in the middle hills and that time most nepali families get together.
